Selecting the most appropriate materials to resist the corrosion due to the medium is the first priority to insure a trouble-free operation of the plant. For such critical application, FAMAT will select the appropriate material.

Diaphragm valves

For small sizes up to 3'', using diaphragm valves is the simplest and most economical way to control a flow. Even for larger sizes up to 12'', diaphragm valves would be preferred to butterfly valves for liquids charged with solid particles.

Different materials can be choosen for the body:

A large selection of elastomers or PTFE can be selected for the diaphragm.

Pneumatic actuators (double-acting, fail-safe to close or open), and accessories (solenoid valve, limit switch, emergency hand wheel) will allow to automatize easily the process.

Butterfly valves

Butterfly valves are now replacing more and more the traditional gate valves for all applications involving water up to 100°C and 16bar. Advantages are evident:
